MEGA TankTopper

Making Enclosures Great Again!! This is a silly thing to say but in principal it's EXACTLY what we have done here.  We have taken the AMAZING and UNIQUE features of the MEGA Cages and married the idea to a GLASS AQUARIUM!  

This topper boasts a face made of HIGH IMPACT RESISTANT Polycarbonate that seems nearly bulletproof and can tolerate ANY environment Wet or Dry, Cool or HOT the front pane will NOT WARP! The door handle and lock mount were designed and 3d printed from the highest quality PETG material available in several colors.  

For the coolest if features, the front face just COMES OFF! SIMPLE No hardware, hinges etc.  Unlock the cage's keyed plunger lock and the cage is still SECURE until you lift up the front face, pull it out at the bottom and drop it down and off the cage!  Replacement Faces available at any time, just contact us!

*Toppers can be sealed for watertight use, We have already used a solvent style cement on much of this product to retain the mesh screens and bond other areas.  We recommend you use the following method to attach to your aquarium of choice.  

• Use ONLY Aquarium SAFE Silicone (We recommend ASI or Aqueon Brand Black or Clear)
• Use a GREEN Scotch Brite type scrub pad or fine grit sand paper to scour the areas touched by the silicone, i.e. Plastic Aquarium Frame and the surrounding edge of the MEGA Topper
• Wipe down all surfaces prior to silicone application with Isopropyl Alcohol thoroughly for best results
• Apply silicone to Aquarium frames inner lip.  (The rim edge that is designed to retain an aquarium lid) Ideally a bead about 1/8 to 3/16" wide 
• Set the topper down into the tank rim and apply FIRM and EVEN pressure to the perimter
• Apply another bead of silicone to the exterior perimeter where the tank meets the aquarium frame and create a filet with an applicator or finger neatly around the entire frame (similar to the seal in the corner of an aquarium)
• Pay attention to the silicone squeeze out on the inside edge of the aquarium lip/rear edge of the topper
• Allow to FULLY CURE 48 hours before use!
• ENJOY the most AMAZING TANK TOPPER EVER MADE!

** This cage, when properly assembled and LOCKED with the included plunger keyed lock is nearly IMPENETRABLE!!  Theft or animal breakout is nearly IMPOSSIBLE without removal of the top or bottom of the cage OR complete destruction of the lower lip.  We feel after over 30 years RETAIL experience that this MEGA cage design would stand up to COMMERCIAL RETAIL USE as well as be SECURE and STRONG enough to house VENOMOUS species with confidence and ease!  We cannot guarantee against theft or envenomation of course but we have given you ALL OF THE TOOLS to prevent such an incident from the cage's level.
